Registration is now open for the inaugural 2009 Demetral Grass Triples Tournament. 
The event will take place Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Demetral Park in Madison, Wisconsin. 
Check-in time is 8:00 a.m. and play begins at 9:00 a.m.

Entry fee for the tournament is $25 per person for adult men and women and $20 per person for juniors . Each paying player will receive a complimentary drink. Grilled food, Gatorade, juice, water, fruit, and baked goods will be available for purchase throughout the day. You can bring your own beer to this event. Parking is free.

A 50/50 raffle will be available. Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Capital Volleyball Academy in Madison, Wisconsin.

Current registration limits are:
Men's Open: 16 teams max
Women's Open: 12 teams max
Men's A: 28 teams max
Women's A: 28 teams max
Juniors - 3 Divisions: 20 teams max
(18 & Under, 16 & Under and 14 & Under)
Adjustments will be made if there is an excessively high demand for popular divisions

Payouts for winning teams will be announced closer to the tournament date, as they're dependent on the number of registered teams.

 Tournament After Party
Tournament after-party will take place at the Essen Haus German Pub on East Wilson Street in downtown Madison. $5 after party wristband gets you $3.50 well drinks and 1/2 off beers!

Tournament Rules:
2/3 rally scoring games to 21 no cap; third game to 15 no cap, win by 2
9:00 a.m. start, pools will be posted online
Net serve allowed, setting serves allowed
Double first contact/beach dig allowed, block does not count as a touch
Any simultaneous contact at the net is a joust, one or two handed
Use own ball for game play, ref your own matches, call out scores before serve
4 team pools - top 2 teams go to upper playoff division, bottom 2 teams to lower playoff divisions
Playoffs same format as pool play; men's/women's semifinals and finals will be played on main courts
